The first Friday of each month brings hundreds of people to downtown Springfield for the First Friday Art Walk, a Springfield cultural happening in the Downtown Arts District. Art lovers “Walk the Walk,” enjoying original art, music, demonstrations and performances in 25 gallery venues.
First Friday Art Walk is a grassroots event established by downtown’s art galleries with the support of participating venues, sponsoring businesses and the arts community. A program of the Springfield Regional Arts Council, First Friday Art Walk is dedicated to promoting the Downtown Arts District.
First Friday Art Walk is a taste of what the Downtown Arts District has to offer every day. Let Springfield’s downtown galleries be your entre to the heart of the city, where art, music and theatre meet dining, shopping, nightclubbing and fun for all ages.
